Getting Around
NATIONAL INSURANCE (NI)
Once you have arrived and established a residential address in the UK, it is important to remember to apply for your NI number immediately, as this process takes a couple of weeks. Your UK consultant can advise you how to get in contact with your local Department of Social Security (DSS) office.

In order to obtain Medical treatment, all UK residents need a NI (National Insurance Number). National Insurance contributions are deducted automatically from your salary each week, which fund the UK benefits including National Health Service, unemployment benefit and pension.
